Factory Closure/Plant Closure or Disposal
How I can help you?
If regrettably if you have to close down a factory or plant. I have the relevant experience and contacts to help you in this difficult and often costly situation.
It will be imperative at the earliest stage to prepare a complete factory closure plan, either in the form of a simple flow chart with mile stones or a fully costed and scheduled project plan.
In addition to this will be the most important task, that of looking after your staff and the building of a communications plan to keep everyone on board and informed at every stage of the closure.
Key Issues:
- The documentation and physical inventory of all your equipment and plant.
- The design and implementation of a pricing and advertising strategy for the disposal of unwanted equipment and plant.
- Development and implementation of a programme for the demolition, rigging and removal/delivery of plant, to include cranage/lifting costs and schedules.
- Pre-dismantling digital photography, Cad drawings and match marking for any plant being relocated or sold.
- Costing of a packing and dunnaging programme for plant requiring shipment to other UK or International destinations.
- Load planning and costing for the UK deliveries.
- Load planning, costing and all paperwork for any International deliveries.
- Preparation of contracts and implementation of a CDM management regime.
- Preparation of Health and Safety plans to ensure compliance with HSE safety at work, during closure.
- Site clearance plans including clean-up and identification and disposal of all hazardous materials.
- Negotiation with landlords over Lease surrender and the final dilapidation/refurbishment requirements to include preparation of schedule of comparative costings.
- Alternatively valuation and disposal where the site is company owned.
I have recent hands on experience in all the above matters and I will be able to assist you in reducing your costs, financial and legal risks and the overall factory closure timescale.
